Templates for other costs

Disposal, packaging, small parts: store recurring incidental costs once with a price and pick them in the "Add free position" dialog.

Items such as disposal, packaging or small parts show up in nearly every quote. Instead of typing them out each time, store them once under Settings → "Rates & Costs" in the card „Vorlagen für sonstige Kosten" (templates for other costs) — by default for admin and planner.

Creating a template

The button „Vorlage hinzufügen" (add template) opens a dialog with three fields: „Bezeichnung" (name, e.g. "Entsorgung Altmöbel"), „Einkauf (€)" (purchase) and „Verkauf (€)" (sale). The purchase price never appears on the quote; it only serves your margin. Each name may exist only once — a second entry with the same name is rejected.

Using a template

Sidebar → Offers → open the quote → card "Offer Positions" → expand a position → section „Kalkulation" (costing). There, every cost block except "Arbeit" (labor) carries the button „Freie Position" (free position). By default, editing a position's costing is likewise limited to admin and planner.

The dialog "Add free position" always opens with the „Kategorie" (category) set to "Sonstiges" (other). Below it the field „Vorlage" (template) then appears, with the choice „Aus Vorlage übernehmen (optional)" — take over from a template. Clicking an entry fills three fields at once: „Bezeichnung" (name), „EK (netto)" (net purchase) and „VK (netto)" (net sale). „Menge" (quantity) and „Einheit" (unit) remain up to you.

The same route inside an order: sidebar → Orders → open the order → tab "Calculation" → expand a position → „Freie Position".

Distinction: A free position is not its own line on the quote. It sits inside the costing of the position it belongs to, raises that position's costs — and, as long as that quote position's unit price is not set by hand, the sale price derived from it as well. If you need the item as a visible line of its own, create a regular quote position instead.
