Kunden

Anlegen, suchen, Historie und Import.

  1. Creating a customer: fields, salutations, customer number

Almost nothing is required: only the last name, plus the company name for companies. All fields in detail, the automatic customer number — and why Gantway does not detect duplicates.

  2. Searching and filtering customers

The search covers name, company, customer number and email. Plus: active filter, tag filter with AND logic, and sorting by order count.

  3. Organizing customers with tags

Regular customer, VIP, Commercial: free-form keywords instead of rigid categories. How tags are assigned — and why spelling takes discipline.

  4. The customer file: orders, quotes, comments

Four tabs turn the customer into a file: master data, all orders, all quotes and the comment history with an unread marker.

  5. Importing and exporting customers

Bring in customer lists via CSV or hand them out — through the Import/Export area, not the customer page. Columns, permissions and limits.

  6. Deactivating and reactivating a customer

Customers are not deleted but deactivated — the history stays. The two-step safeguard for open orders and the way back.

  7. Erasing customer data on a GDPR request

On an erasure request, name, contact details, address and notes are irreversibly redacted — orders and quotes remain as a deleted customer.
