No order slips through.
From draft to completion.

Every order runs through a clear workflow with five statuses. Tasks, materials, times, comments and history are bundled in one detail view — always current, always visible to everyone.

The customer calls: "How far along is my staircase?" It used to take three follow-up questions to the workshop — now it's one click on the order: status, progress, booked hours and delivery date on a single page.

Was diese Funktion macht

An order comes into being in three ways: by hand, from a template with a ready-made task list — or automatically from the accepted quote, including all line items as tasks. From there on, the order page is the one place where everything comes together: every status change is logged with name and timestamp, every task knows its dependencies, its materials and its booked times. If a task sits untouched for more than two working days, Gantway automatically marks it as stale. And follow-up questions run as comments with @-mentions directly on the order — not in a chat, where nobody will find them next week.

Tasks & Zeitplanung

Jeder Auftrag in Arbeitsschritten — mit Dauer, Team und Station.

Was Sie damit können

From draft to sign-off. Everything on the order, nothing on the side.

01

Five statuses with a clean workflow

Draft → Planned → Released → In Progress → Completed, plus canceled at any time. Every transition is logged with who, when and why. Completed and canceled orders are deliberately final — this protects times, materials and costing from being altered after the fact.

02

Data-preserving cancellation

A canceled order is not deleted. Booked times are retained and stay available for payroll and post-costing. Materials are not quietly booked back into inventory — whoever puts withdrawn material back does so manually. The order stays fully visible in the history, only no longer editable.

03

Tasks with dependencies

Orders consist of tasks with individual durations in labor hours, employee assignment and material allocation. Finish-to-start dependencies between tasks are stored as an acyclic graph — so the system knows which work is waiting on which.

04

Stale detection

Tasks that stay more than two working days without a status change are visually marked as "stale". You see at a glance where the workflow has stalled.

05

Order templates

Recurring order processes can be saved as templates. What gets carried over are the structural parts: task titles and sequence, the station, the required qualification, the standard duration and the dependencies between tasks. Employees, materials and costing values are deliberately left open and are set per specific order — because they change depending on customer, project and market price.

06

Order from quote

As soon as a quote is accepted by the customer, Gantway automatically creates an order with the status "Released". The line items from the quote are carried over as tasks — Unified Task Model.

07

Supplementary quotes instead of reactivation

Completed orders cannot be reactivated — and that's intentional. For subsequent changes there are supplementary quotes: the customer gets a supplement to the original quote, which is maintained as its own process. The original order stays audit-proof, the additional work stays cleanly traceable.

Anwendungsfälle

So nutzen Sie es.
Drei typische Situationen.

01

Create a new order from a quote

The customer accepts the quote through the customer portal — the order appears automatically with the status "Released" and can be scheduled right away.

02

Recurring order type

You have a standard interior fit-out that always consists of 12 tasks. Creating from a template takes ten seconds instead of ten minutes.

03

Track down a delayed order

Stale detection marks the tasks where nothing has happened for days. You immediately see where you need to follow up.
