Is my order still on schedule?
The deadline banner on the order, the progress column in the list, the warning triangle on stalled steps — and the precise route via the baseline.
For the quick answer you need to prepare nothing: sidebar → Orders → click the order. The deadline situation sits at the very top of the order page.
The quick look: the coloured deadline banner
Below the status buttons, Gantway compares the order's "End date" with the calculated end of the last work step and shows the result as a coloured banner. Its wording is German in every interface language:
- Green ✓ — „X Arbeitstage Puffer“, there is slack left before the deadline
- Amber ⏳ — 0 to 2 working days of slack; at exactly zero it reads „Liefertermin genau am letzten Task-Ende“
- Red ⚠ — „Liefertermin um X Arbeitstage überschritten“, the deadline is missed by that many working days
Only Monday to Friday are counted; public holidays are not taken into account in this calculation.
Two more displays cost no preparation either: the "Tasks" tile on the order page (for example 3/7 with a percentage) and, in the list under Orders, the columns "Status", "Period" (start – end, otherwise the German „Nicht geplant“ for not scheduled) and "Progress" with a bar and finished out of total work steps.
Overdue work steps are something else
In the "Tasks" tab some work steps carry a yellow warning triangle. Its tooltip reads: "This task has not been updated for over 2 working days."
The precise route: target vs. actual
If you want to see how far today's plan has drifted from the one originally agreed, you need the baseline — the frozen plan in the Gantt chart.
The catch: the baseline must have been created beforehand, ideally right after release. It cannot be applied retroactively, because Gantway only ever stores the state of the moment in which you create it. Without a baseline, the quick look above is what you get.
Several orders at once
On the Orders page, "my overdue orders" can be assembled from two filters:
- Open "Filter by status" and tick several statuses: "Planned", "Released" and "In Progress" — everything that should still be running. "Completed" and "Cancelled" stay out.
- In the second field of the date pair, "Planned end until", enter today's date. The first field, "Planned start from", stays empty.
What remains are the orders that should have been finished long ago and are not. This setting can be kept as a saved view and even made the default view, so the list opens that way next time.
