Schedule & assign in one step

The scheduling dialog settles date, team and work location in one pass.

How to complete the pass

1. Open the dialog via Offers → open the offer (status "Accepted") → "Schedule Order", or via Orders → open the order → status card → "Plan" or "Release". It is the same dialog.
2. Choose the date: one of the suggestions or your own start date, guided by the traffic light. Planning always runs forward from the start; the dialog shows a delivery date and warns if the chosen window ends after it. If positions already have dates from today onwards, the date field is pre-filled with the earliest of them; if you leave it as it is, the set dates are kept. 3. Assign the team — up to 50 people per order.
4. If needed, do the fine distribution: under "Assign individual positions differently", every line item is pre-filled with the team members who have the required qualification, or with the whole team if none is required. Only change the line items other people should do; "Pre-fill" resets a changed line item. If nobody in the team has the qualification, Gantway shows "1 position without a matching person in the team" and fills the line item with the whole team for now. People marked yellow are booked or absent on the chosen date. If you deliberately leave a line item without a person, Gantway reports after completion, for example, "2 position(s) without an assigned person". Line items at plants that run without a person (such as a paint booth or a drying room) are not counted in this notice.
5. Check the work locations. If a line item lacks a work location, you set it in the first stage of the dialog: a workstation or a station, never both. The location determines whose capacity is taken up. During planning, "Work locations free in this period" shows which locations are free in the chosen window.
6. Click the completion button. Depending on the entry point it is called "Schedule & assign" (from the offer), "Schedule & release" (from "Release") or "Plan & assign" (from "Plan").

By default admin and planner may open the dialog; "Plan" team leads too, but only for orders assigned to them.

At the end comes either the plan or the release, depending on the entry point. Once the order is released, the team sees it under "My Work" straight away.

Released does not mean started

The status "In Progress" does not come from the release, but automatically as soon as the first work step goes into progress — via a status change, starting a timer or the first time entry. So the workshop starts the order itself, through work rather than administration.
