Scheduling an accepted quote
The quote is accepted — but there is no "Create order" button. Why that is, and how the order reaches the workshop with a scheduled date.
After acceptance, do not look for a "create order" button. There is none, and that is not an oversight.
The order has existed all along
Since the offer was created, Gantway has been carrying a hidden draft order in the background (created here). On acceptance it switches to "Scheduled". Converting, copying, creating anew: all unnecessary. Offer and order were never two separate things.
How to schedule the order
- Open Offers in the sidebar and click the accepted offer.
- Click "Auftrag einplanen" (schedule order) in the header area. The button appears only on the current version and is open to admin and planner by default.
- Work through the two-stage dialog — date suggestions with the traffic light, then team and work location. Described in detail under Scheduling an order — suggestions and traffic light and Scheduling and assigning.
Only with the date set does the actual transition happen. The order
- moves to "Released" (in the order list it has read "Scheduled" since acceptance),
- becomes visible to employees under "My Work",
- and the material positions from the offer become real material demand in the warehouse.
What carries over — and what does not
Carried over: title, customer, all visible positions including time estimates, qualification requirements and calculation adjustments.
Removed: optional positions the customer did not buy, and alternatives that were not chosen. The workshop only sees what was actually ordered.
Auch bekannt als: order from quote, quote accepted, convert, create order, what now.
