Your customer downloads their quote
The customer portal has its own box with a "Als PDF herunterladen" button. Your customer gets the quote without logging in — including after acceptance, rejection and expiry.

Your customer needs nothing from you for this. They open the portal link you sent them when sending the quote and find a box of its own directly below the quote header. It is headed "Angebot" (quote), the quote number and "als PDF" (as a PDF), and contains the button "Als PDF herunterladen" (download as PDF). No login, no account. The portal is in German for your customer, so the labels quoted here are the ones they actually see.
What your customer sees
The box carries the line "Zum Ausdrucken, Ablegen oder Weiterleiten. Der Download ändert nichts an Ihrem Angebot." (for printing, filing or forwarding; the download changes nothing about the quote). After the click the button switches to "PDF wird erstellt…" (creating the PDF); that takes a moment, then the download starts on its own. The file has the same name as your own download, i.e. the quote number including the version.
The box deliberately sits apart from the response area, so nobody confuses it with "Angebot annehmen" (accept quote). The download on its own triggers nothing: no status change, no response, no note on the quote.
In every state, including after acceptance
The box appears in all four states of the portal: open, accepted, declined and expired. A customer who agreed months ago can therefore still get their copy. That is intentional, and it saves you the "could you send me the quote again?" phone call.
The same document you get
Your customer receives, page for page, the same PDF you get via the sidebar under Offers → open the quote → "Download PDF", cover page and appendix included. There are no two documents that could drift apart. Both come from the same source, and after sending from the frozen state.
When no box appears
The box only appears if your plan includes the PDF export. You can see what your plan covers under Settings → "My Plan".
If you invalidate the link ("Neuer Link" / new link, or "Link widerrufen" / revoke link) or create a new version of the quote, the old link no longer leads to the quote page at all: your customer then reads "Dieses Angebot ist nicht mehr verfügbar oder der Link ist ungültig." (this quote is no longer available or the link is invalid). That ends the download as well.
