The recycle bin: all data types

The recycle bin — Settings → "Trash" — catches deleted items: "Deleted items can be restored or permanently removed here. Items are automatically purged after 30 days — except items that are still in use or hold records subject to retention."

Nine data types

One tab each for orders, quotes, tasks, comments, items, employees, qualifications, workstations, and stations — with the columns "Name", "Deleted", and "Remaining", so the time left is visible. A few specifics apply to orders (the status is preserved on restore, the plan limit is checked) — these are covered in the order recycle bin article.

The period counts 30 calendar days in German time: on the day of deletion "Remaining" shows 30 days, on the last day it says "Last day". The morning after, Gantway removes the entry automatically.

A deleted draft quote is a single entry in the "Quotes" tab. The hidden order that Gantway keeps for every quote does not also appear under "Orders"; it comes back together with the quote when you restore it.

After a restore, Gantway recalculates the conflicts: a restored order, task, employee, workstation or station takes up time again and can therefore trigger conflicts again.

The role separation

• Viewing and "Restore": by default Admin and Planner.
• "Delete permanently" and "Empty trash": only the Admin — with a final warning: "This item will be permanently deleted."
