CSV export: releasing orders and master data

Employees, articles, customers, stations and workstations leave Gantway as CSV, in the same format in which they go back in. You find the export under Settings → "Import/Export" in the "Export" tab. It is open to admin and planner; the purchasing/warehouse role sees it too, but only the article, station and workstation export there. It delivers two kinds of files:

Exporting orders

With a status filter (all six statuses) and a from/to period, meant for external reports or handover to another system. Up to 10,000 rows are exported; if the export is truncated, the warning "Attention: not all rows were exported (row limit reached)…" appears. Narrow the period and export in batches.

Exporting master data

"Employees, articles, customers, stations and workstations as CSV — same format as the import templates, so files can be re-imported directly." This is the round trip: export, edit externally, import again. The import skips duplicates along the way and only creates new rows.

The roles in detail: the employee export is Admin-only (personnel data!), while articles and customers are by default also available to the Planner; stations and workstations can be exported by anyone allowed to open the page. The order export is visible to Admin and Planner only.
