Customizing the sidebar
Reorder menu items, hide them, and structure them with up to five named dividers — personal per user, with a home page that cannot be deselected.
If you only need five pages a day, you shouldn't have to scroll through fifteen: the pencil icon "Customize menu" in the sidebar — on the right above the menu list, directly below the search field — makes it your own; saved per user, not for the whole business. What you customize is the main navigation; the menu under Settings stays as it is.
What you can customize
- Sort — drag items into your own order.
- Show and hide — rarely used items disappear from the bar (the pages themselves remain accessible, of course, and reappear unchanged when shown again).
- Separators — "Add separator" visually structures the menu, optionally with a name (e.g. "Planning"). At most five separators are possible; after that, Gantway reports "Maximum reached (5 separators)".
The mandatory home page
One item can never be hidden — marked as "Default page for your role": Dashboard for Admin and Team Lead, Desk for Planner, My Work for employees, Inventory for Purchasing/Warehouse. This guarantees that every role's home base stays reachable. This applies as long as the plan includes the area: in the Business plan (without the inventory feature), the Inventory item is omitted even for Purchasing/Warehouse — that role is effectively not provided for there.
