Master data: workstations, stations, qualifications

What the three resource types fundamentally mean is explained in the getting-started article. Here you find the management details of the Settings → "Master Data" page (visible to admin, planner and team lead) with its tabs "Workstations", "Stations" and — for the admin only — "Qualifications".

The capacity semantics

The forms name the difference precisely:

• Workstation: "Capacity (simultaneous orders)" says how many orders may sit on this station in parallel (e.g. "Hall A, Station 1").
• Station: "Capacity (simultaneous tasks)" says how many work steps can run at the machine at the same time (e.g. "CNC router, spray booth").

These values are the benchmark for conflict detection. Maintained honestly, they are worth more than maintained optimistically.

Qualifications — changes are Admin-only

Only the admin sees and changes the qualification catalog — for planner and team lead the tab is missing entirely. Workstations and stations are maintained by admin and planner by default. For each qualification, "Cost hourly rate (€)" and "Sales hourly rate (€)" are listed there, with the explanatory note: "These rates apply as a fallback when no individual hourly rates are stored for the employee. Cost = internal costs (costing). Sales = the price charged to the customer (quotes)."

Assigning employees happens directly in the qualification dialog, or the other way around via the employee profile.
