Which conflicts does Gantway detect?

Gantway continuously checks the plan against reality — capacities, attendance, stock — and flags where they do not fit together. The Conflicts page in the sidebar collects the flags, by default open to admins, planners and team leads. There are seven conflict types:

The seven types

• Workstation overbooking: on a given day, a workstation has more orders assigned than its capacity allows.
• Station overbooking: at a station, work steps run at the same time, checked to the minute. One after another on the same day is not a conflict.
• Employee double booking: a person has overlapping work steps on the same working day.
• Employee absent: a work step falls into a recorded absence of the assigned person — vacation, illness, special or unpaid leave, or vocational school.
• Dependency violated: a successor starts before its predecessor ends.
• Material shortage: the demand of all orders together exceeds the stock of an item. The conflict can therefore arise through an entirely different order.
• Qualification missing: the assigned person does not have the qualification required by the work step.
