Critical, Warning, Notice: reading the severity
The severity does not depend on the conflict type but on the date: how close is the problem? The levels and their dampening rules.

Not every conflict is an emergency. Gantway classifies by a simple question: how close is the affected day?
The three levels
- Critical: the affected day is in the past or at most 2 working days away. Act now.
- Warning: up to 14 working days away. There is still time to reschedule.
- Notice: further off. Watching is usually enough.
Counting is in working days according to the operating calendar, so a conflict on Monday is "critical" as of Friday, even with a weekend in between.
Dampening for planned items
Orders with status Planned are not yet binding, so their conflicts are dampened: at most "Warning", material shortages even at most "Notice". Only upon release does the full classification apply.
In the list and sidebar
The conflict list in the sidebar under Conflicts sorts critical items to the top, then by date. Acknowledged conflicts do not count in the tiles and the sidebar badge; the number there is the real open need for action.
