Resolving conflicts via suggestions
Replace, Remove, Move, Create, Open: the resolve dialog suggests executable solutions — with built-in protection against new conflicts.

The resolve dialog opens in the sidebar under Conflicts via the "Resolve" button on a conflict — by default visible to Admins, Planners and team leads. Below the diagnosis it lists the "resolution paths": concrete suggestions you can execute with a click. Depending on the conflict type, the buttons read "Replace" (another person takes over), "Remove" (assignment out), "Move" (the date makes way), "Create" (e.g. a purchase requisition for the missing material) or "Open".
What a suggestion brings with it
- The "Recommended" marker flags the path Gantway considers best.
- Every suggestion describes its consequence before the click — what changes is stated before it happens.
- After execution, Gantway honestly reports back whether the conflict is actually resolved — or whether a remainder stays.
When no suggestion fits
The suggestion list can be empty — for instance when no one with a suitable qualification is free. Then two manual paths remain: "Open in order" jumps straight to planning, where you can reassign freely. And "Acknowledge" deliberately accepts the conflict — that resolves nothing but documents the decision.
