Something has disappeared

Order gone, customer gone, Gantt bar gone? The six places where the missing thing almost always turns up again — in the right order to check them.

Something is almost never truly gone. Usually it is just somewhere else or filtered out. The places, one by one:

  1. The trash under Settings → "Trash" (for admin and planner) collects deleted entries of all kinds, restorable for 30 days. Orders come back with their previous status; details in the trash article. After that, Gantway clears them out for good.
  2. The archive on the desk holds all completed and cancelled orders, with a toggle between the two views. Completed ones can be reactivated.
  3. Filters in the lists: the order and customer lists do start with "All", but once a status, tag or search filter is set, it stays active and hides things. Just reset all filters for a moment.
  4. The desk mode: in the default mode, the board only loads active orders (Scheduled, Released, In progress). Drafts only appear in Projects mode or in the order list.
  5. The Gantt: "Fold the past" is on by default and compresses elapsed periods. On top of that, the counter on the filter button shows whether filters are active.
  6. "My work" only shows orders in status Released or In progress. If an order is set back to Scheduled or completed, it disappears from there. That is intentional.

Auch bekannt als: disappeared, order gone, no longer visible, filter, find again.
