I don't see the menu item

A menu item that a colleague has but you don't has one of three causes — best checked in this order:

1. The role

In the main navigation, several areas are role-restricted: Time Tracking, Controlling and Maintenance contracts are only visible to Admin and Planner, Conflicts additionally to the Team Lead, Resources to everyone except Purchasing/Warehouse.

The menu under Settings follows the same principle:

• Admin only: "Accounts & Access", "Permissions", "My Plan", "Billing", "Plugins", "Tenant Settings", "Documents", "Contract & Legal"
• Admin and Planner: "Working Time Model", "Workflow Templates", "Rates & Costs", "Audit Log", "Trash"
• plus Team Lead: "Team", "Master Data"
• Admin, Planner and Purchasing/Warehouse: "Import/Export"
• every role: "Profile", "Security", "Notifications"

Your own role is shown in your profile; only the Admin can change it.

2. The plan

Features outside the booked plan disappear entirely from the menu:

If you open a locked page directly via a link, you see: "This feature is not available in your current plan. Available from the … plan." with the "Request plan upgrade" button. What your own plan includes is shown by "My Plan".

3. Hidden by yourself

Via the pencil icon "Customize menu" in the sidebar — on the right above the menu list, directly below the search field — items can be hidden, including by accident. This affects the main navigation only; the menu under Settings cannot be personalized. A note in the sidebar points this out when every optional menu item is hidden, and refers you to editing the menu; "Reset to default" restores everything.
