The limits of the system
Every documented limit in one place: from the 100-order cap on the Business plan through character and quantity limits to the timer auto-stop.
When Gantway rejects an action because of a quantity or length limit, the limit is listed here.
The one plan limit
Business: no more than 100 active orders. Only what is neither completed nor canceled is counted — so closing out old orders immediately frees up room. The message reads "Limit of 100 active orders reached…"; Pro and Premium are unlimited. Note: restoring from the trash also checks this limit.
Planning & orders
- Team assignment: 50 people per order and per position; required quantity per qualification 1–50
- Order and task titles: 200 characters, notes 2,000
- Conflict detection: planning horizon 180 days
Time
- Time entry: no more than 24 hours per entry as well as per person and day
- Forgotten timers: automatic stop, by default after 12 hours (adjustable 1–24 h) — the entry then carries the review note
Absences
- Comment on a request, rejection reason and reason for a withdrawal: 500 characters each
- Vocational school rhythm: at most 400 school days and a 3-year run time per rhythm — beyond that, saving aborts and names the figure ("Der Rhythmus würde N Schultage erzeugen — mehr als 400 sind nicht zulässig. Bitte den Zeitraum verkürzen.")
- Block release: 60 periods per rhythm; bulk assignment: 30 employees at once
Communication & data
- Comments: 5,000 characters, up to 20 @-mentions
- Customer tags: no more than 10 per customer
- CSV exports (orders, master data, audit log, working times): 10,000 rows per export — it gets truncated, and a note appears on download
- Feedback: 10–2,000 characters; password: 10–128 characters
- Dashboard: 20 widgets; sidebar: 5 separators
