Now, later today, tomorrow: viewing the planned state in the control room
What the time switch of the live view shows: "Now" is the actual state, "Later today" and "Tomorrow" are the planned state from the position dates.
This feature is only included in the Premium plan. Compare plans
At the top of the live view there is a time switch with three steps: "Now", "Later today" and "Tomorrow". It answers two different questions: What is happening right now? And what will the hall look like at a later point according to plan?
"Now": the actual state
"Now" shows what is really going on: running timers, the time clock with breaks, and the status of the positions. A workpiece sits where a position is "In progress" or a timer is running.
"Later today" and "Tomorrow": the planned state
Both steps show the planned state, calculated from the dates of the positions. This is labeled next to the "As of" time and in the scene:
- "Later today" opens a time field, prefilled with the next full hour. The label reads "Planned state today {time}".
- "Tomorrow" jumps to the next working day according to the company calendar (working days and public holidays), at the work start from the working hours settings, otherwise at 08:00. On a Friday, "Tomorrow" is therefore usually Monday. The label reads "Planned state {day}".
If the time you entered has already passed, the view shows the current state and says so: "{time} has already passed — showing the current state."
What changes in the planned state
| What | "Now" | Planned state |
|---|---|---|
| Workpiece at a station | position "In progress" or timer running | the planned window of the position includes the point in time, or the position has already started ("In progress" or timer) and its planned window ends before it |
| Figures | from timer and time clock | from the assignments of the position, otherwise of the order |
| Breaks and "Without timer" | visible (depending on role) | none |
| Running machines, moving vans | yes | no, everything stands still |
| "Delivery due today" | today | the day shown |
Only scheduled orders enter the planned picture. An accepted quote that has not yet gone through "Schedule Order" occupies nothing in the planned state.
If a person is assigned to several running positions at that point in time, the figure stands at the first one and carries "Check" with the reason "Assigned to several positions at this time". The card then leads to the order file, where you change the assignment.
What counts as done
Everything planned between now and the chosen point in time counts as done according to plan in the planned state and is no longer in the stack. "Start overdue" in the planned state only marks what should have started before now according to plan and has not started yet (neither "In progress" nor a timer). A position that is already being worked on but whose planned window ends before the chosen point in time, on the other hand, stands as running at its object: the work is then still going on. This way "Tomorrow" shows today's backlog without flagging everything as late that is still due according to plan before tomorrow.
What stays the same
- Stock: The material storage always shows the stock as of now: "Stock as of now — the selected point in time does not change it."
- Order progress: In the planned state it carries the label "Plan view". Steps reported done and actual times still refer to now; nothing is shown as done just because the plan says so.
- Stacks: In all three steps the queue reaches to the end of the next working day.
The hall monitor in the workshop always shows "Now".
