Correcting times

Mis-punching happens. By default only admin and planner may correct entries — not the team lead, and not the people affected themselves. So whoever mis-punched simply says so.

This page of the app is not translated; the labels below are quoted in German with the meaning in brackets.

How to correct a time

1. Open Zeiterfassung (time tracking) in the sidebar, tab "Übersicht" (overview).
2. Click the employee in the table, then "Korrektur vornehmen" (make correction). The dialog "Anwesenheitszeit korrigieren" (correct attendance time) opens.
3. Under "Feld korrigieren" (field to correct), pick what was wrong: "Einstempelzeit" (clock-in), "Ausstempelzeit" (clock-out), "Pausenbeginn" (break start) or "Pausenende" (break end). For a break field, "Pause auswählen" (select break) is added.
4. Enter the "Neue Uhrzeit" (new time) in the format shown by the example "z.B. 17:00".
5. Fill in the "Begründung (Pflicht, mind. 10 Zeichen)" (reason, required, at least 10 characters). "Vergessen auszustempeln" (forgot to clock out) is enough; empty is not accepted.
6. Click "Korrektur speichern" (save correction). Gantway confirms: "Korrektur erfolgreich gespeichert." (correction saved successfully).

The two neighbours

Besides the correction there are two more routes:

• "Storno" (reversal) for entries that are wrong altogether. The prompt "Eintrag stornieren?" (reverse entry?) is final; afterwards Gantway reports "Eintrag wurde storniert." (entry was reversed).
• "Zeit nachtragen" (add time) for days on which nobody punched at all. The dialog is called "Manueller Nachtrag" (manual entry), and it ends with "Manueller Nachtrag erfolgreich erstellt." (manual entry created successfully).

No entry can be longer than 24 hours.

Nothing is overwritten

A correction does not replace the original, it is stored in addition; the original remains with the note "korrigiert" (corrected). Who changed what, when and why stays traceable permanently. In a wage audit, exactly this history is worth its weight in gold.
