Creating an account and starting the trial

Registration is called "Register your business" and runs in three steps, counted by a progress bar: "Company details", "Contact & address", "Account details". "Next" and "Back" move between them.

Step 1: Company details

Gantway first asks for the "Company name" and your "Industry". The industry is required — without it you cannot continue ("Branche ist erforderlich" / industry is required).

The reason is stated below the field: Gantway creates sample data to match your trade. A joinery gets different sample orders than a metalworking shop. How to explore and remove that sample data is covered in Exploring and deleting sample data.

Step 2: Contact & address

"Phone number", "Street and house number", "Postal code", "City" and "Country" are all required here. The hint above the fields says what for: "Used for invoicing and your personal support during the trial." Only Germany can currently be chosen as the country: "Gantway is currently only available to businesses based in Germany."

Step 3: Account details

Here you enter your name, your email address and a password — at least 10 characters with one capital letter, one lowercase letter and one digit, and a second time to confirm. Two more things come with it:

• confirming that you accept the terms of service including the data processing agreement and are entering the contract as a business within the meaning of § 14 BGB. Gantway is not an offer for consumers; the linked documents open in a new window.
• a security check that verifies a human is typing. If it fails, reloading the page or using a different browser usually helps.

Clicking "Register" completes the process. Gantway reports "Registration successful! Please check your email and confirm your account." and shows the "Confirm your email" page. Only after that click is your account active. If no email arrives, the spam folder is worth a look — the page says so itself.

Whoever creates the account is automatically admin. They may do everything and assign the roles for the team later.

The trial

After registration your account runs 14 days on the Pro plan. So you are testing one of the larger tiers without entering a payment method. A few extra features such as the controlling reports remain reserved for the Premium plan.
