Creating an account and starting the trial

For the trial, an email address and a password are enough. The page is called "Try it free for 14 days"; Gantway does not ask for a payment method, phone number or address there.

Step 1: Create your login

You enter your "Email" and a "Password". The password needs at least 10 characters with one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number. Gantway ticks off the four rules as you type.

By clicking "Start free trial" you accept the terms of service including the data processing agreement and confirm that you are acting as a business within the meaning of § 14 BGB. The sentence sits directly below the button, and the linked documents open in a new window. Gantway is not an offer for consumers and is currently only available to businesses based in Germany.

A security check runs in the background. If Gantway reports that it failed, reloading the page or using a different browser usually helps.

Step 2: Your business

After the click you are signed in straight away and land on the dashboard. There the dialog "Welcome to Gantway!" asks for "Company name", "Industry" and your "Name". "Save & get started" becomes active once company name and industry are filled in.

The industry determines the sample data: a joinery gets different sample orders than a metalworking shop. Gantway creates them when you save. How to explore and remove that sample data is covered in Exploring and deleting sample data.

"Set up later" skips the dialog. Your business is then called "Mein Betrieb" for the time being, and the sample data is not tailored to an industry. You can change company name and industry later in the settings.

Confirming your email address

Gantway sends you a confirmation link. Until you click it, a notice on the dashboard reminds you to confirm your email address. If no email arrives, the spam folder is worth a look; you can request a new link from that notice.

Whoever creates the account is automatically admin. They may do everything and assign the roles for the team later.

The trial

After registration your account runs 14 days on the Premium plan. So you are testing the full feature set without entering a payment method — including the control room and the controlling reports, which only Premium includes.
