What the desk shows
Board, project overview, agenda — and why you sometimes see cards, sometimes folders. The structure of the planning board at a glance.
The desk (sidebar → Desk) has three modes, switchable at the top of the bar: "Board" and "Project Overview" on the computer, "Agenda" on the phone.
Cards or folders, depending on the grouping
What sits in the board depends on the selected grouping:
- Grouped by station or workstation, you see individual task cards; each card is a work step.
- Grouped by order status or employee, you see order folders; each folder bundles an entire order.
Whatever isn't yet assigned to a column sits in "Unassigned". The "New folder" button, by the way, creates a new order straight from the desk, via the "Create new folder" dialog. That is for admins and planners.
Capacity at a glance
Each column carries a capacity badge: how much fits in here, how much is already in it? If more is planned than the resource can handle, "Overloaded" appears, and the surplus cards slip below the "Queue" divider.
You switch the time horizon of the capacity display on the computer: "Today", "This Week", or "2 Weeks". A click on the badge opens the detail view.
On the phone, the desk is deliberately leaner: subgroups, view templates, card fields, and the capacity horizon are absent there, and moving works via menus instead of dragging. More on this in the article Moving orders and tasks.
