Gantt basics
Hue, shape, red — the Gantt follows three simple rules. The legend explains them, plus zoom, keyboard and one difference between the two Gantt views.
The Gantt shows your planning as a timeline. It follows a fixed principle: Hue = order · Shape = status · Red = disruptions only. If something is red, something is wrong. It is never decoration.
The legend
- "Open (scheduled)": the bar is waiting for its start
- "In progress — stripes = progress": the filled portion shows how far along
- "Done": completed
- "Milestone": a point in time instead of a duration
- "Disruption (conflict / deadline violation)": this is where red lives
- "Now axis": the golden line marks the current moment
- "Absence (hatched)": vacation or sickness, nobody can work here
- "Utilization (skyline) — red > 100%": the silhouette below shows how full a day is
Controls
Zoom levels: Hour, Day, Week, Month. With the arrow keys ←/→ you move the selected task by one day (with Shift by one week), Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+Y undo and redo changes. Moving requires write rights: in the order Gantt by default Admins, Planners and team leads, on the desk admins and planners. Everyone else only sees the Gantt.
The Gantt exists in two places: on the desk across many orders (sidebar Desk → toggle "Project Overview") and in the order detail for a single order (sidebar Orders → open the order → tab "Tasks" → button "Open Gantt view").
