Logging time later and voiding entries

Besides the task timer, time can also be booked by hand — for the entry you add after hours, or the morning you forgot.

How to book time by hand

1. Open My Work in the sidebar.
2. On the order card, click "Book time". The "New time entry" panel opens.
3. Pick a "Date" and a "Duration". The hint below the field reads: "15-minute increments up to 10 hours, coarser above."
4. "Task (optional)" and "Comment (optional)" can be filled in or left empty. Finished tasks are no longer offered; without a task Gantway notes "Entry without task assignment".
5. Click "Book time". Gantway confirms: "Time entry created successfully."

A date in the future is rejected: below the field the app first shows "Datum liegt in der Zukunft" (date is in the future), and on submit Gantway reports "Zeitbuchungen können nicht in der Zukunft liegen." (time entries cannot lie in the future). Backdated entries go through as well — there the dialog reports "Diese Buchung wird als nachträglich erfasst markiert." (this entry will be marked as retroactively recorded), and the finished entry carries the marker "Retroactive".

At most 24 hours per person and day can be booked. Beyond that Gantway aborts with "Tagesgrenze überschritten: An diesem Tag wären {hours} Stunden gebucht. Maximal 24 Stunden pro Tag und Mitarbeiter sind möglich. Bitte die Dauer prüfen." (daily limit exceeded — at most 24 hours per day and employee are possible). Entries from an automatically stopped timer carry the marker "Automatisch gestoppt — prüfen" (automatically stopped — please check) and should be compared briefly against the real duration.

How to reverse a wrong entry

Time entries are not deleted, they are reversed.

1. On the same card, click "View time entries".
2. Click "Reverse" on the wrong entry. The "Reverse time entry" dialog opens.
3. State why under "Reason (required)" — the field asks: "Why is this entry being reversed?"
4. Confirm. Gantway reports "Time entry reversed." and creates a counter-entry; both stay visible in the history.

Counter-entries themselves cannot be reversed.

Who may do what: Every role that books time may reverse their own entries (only purchasing/inventory books no time). Admin, planner and team lead may reverse other people's entries. Reversing also works on orders that are already completed or cancelled, but not while the order is still a draft or scheduled — there are no entries there anyway.
