Setting up and changing the payment method
Card or SEPA direct debit: where the payment method is maintained and what happens automatically after saving.
Gantway accepts card and SEPA direct debit. Both are maintained under Settings → "Billing" in the "Payment method" card. Only the admin sees that menu entry.
Changing or adding
The "Payment method" card shows the stored method in abbreviated form: for credit cards the card brand ("VISA •••• 1234") along with "Valid until", for direct debit "SEPA •••• 1234". "Change" opens the secure payment form of our payment provider Stripe; if nothing is stored yet, the button reads "Add" ("No payment method stored.").
After saving ("Payment method updated."), the new method automatically becomes the default, also for the current subscription. The next charge uses it without any further action.
